Academic shoot reflection and critique

1. Some of the challenges I faced while trying to follow the rules during the shoot was, that it was hard to find all of the rules. I thought it would be easy but it was actually kind of hard to find some of them. Not only that but as a photographer, i personally like more of a clear background but you can't do that with academic shoots since their are people everywhere! Lastly, their was not the best lighting since it was in a classroom.
2. I thought the most about the rules since that was what we were out there to do. I also focused on flipping the camera horizontal for some photos that I needed a closer and more full- body picture for.
3. If I could do the shoot again, I would try to get closer to some of the "subjects" to make sure it focuses only on the things I wanted in the photo.
4. I would keep my balance photo, my lines photo, and the simplicity picture. These are my favorite photos since I feel that they are good examples of the rule.
5. I think that the next set of prompts that we shoot the rule that will be the easiest to achieve is simplicity or lines since those photos are almost always found, even if it wasn't always intentional.
6. The hardest rule I think to capture will be balance since a lot of times, there aren't things to balance a photo unless you find it, and adjust your body and camera to capture it.
7. The rule I'm still not completely sure about is avoiding mergers. I know the basics of the rule but if I was still confused, I could go back to some of my recent blogs where we had to describe each of the rules and re- read it.
