Plan for assignment

    My plan for this portrait assignment is to get photos of people in their environment. I will try to get every-day images but hopefully make them a little more creative. I will shoot my friends, family, and some strangers, (only with permission from them of course). I will shoot at my dance studio, maybe downtown, and around the school and my house. I will try to follow some of the tips that the article gave to hopefully get some successful images. For my self portrait I will probably take some dance photos in my studio, and I will try to take photos of myself in places I love or with interesting angles. I will try to make these photos show a little insight into my life by showing all the things that define me.

1. Avoid mergers 2. The subject of my photo is the two boys in the back writing and the boy scratching his head. the merger is the blonde boy in the bottom of the photo. 3.I think it is fairly clear that the 3 boys are the main subject with the blond boy as the merger. 4. Academic shoot reflection and critique

1. Some of the challenges I faced while trying to follow the rules during the shoot was, that it was hard to find all of the rules. I thought it would be easy but it was actually kind of hard to find some of them. Not only that but as a photographer, i personally like more of a clear background but you can't do that with academic shoots since their are people everywhere! Lastly, their was not the best lighting since it was in a classroom. 2. I thought the most about the rules since that was what we were out there to do. I also focused on flipping the camera horizontal for some photos that I needed a closer and more full- body picture for. 3. If I could do the shoot again, I would try to get closer to some of the "subjects" to make sure it focuses only on the things I wanted in the photo. 4.                                                                 The Camera                 1. The "camera obscura" effect is an optical effect which inside a completely dark room, a small hole is made. Through the hole, light is focused and the optical effect is projected upside down on the opposite wall. 2. When Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding go optics which helped getting to the modern camera. 3. In 1827, Joseph Niépce added film which pretty much created the modern camera. 4. Modern Cameras still use film and has the same basics except Niépce camera took over 8 hours to expose. 5. digital cameras use electronic sensors called a CCD. to capture a photo.
