American Soldier
A. The most powerful image is the second in which Ian enlists in the army which is the starting point for his new journey.
B. The images all work together to show Ian as he embarks in his new journey throughout the army and all of the emotions that come with it.
C. The captions enhance the photos by letting the reader better understand what is happening in each photo and to tell the story through words.
D. Ian Fisher enlisted in the army after graduating from High School. He had to say goodbye to his family as he began his new adventure. The first few days were very rough on Ian. On a trip home, he proposed to his girlfriend which sadly broke up with him later on. He struggles with the pain of his breakup and many injuries from the army. Ian's friends helped him through it all and provided support. He develops a drug problem that almost gets him kicked out and he is dropped a rank. He is shipped off to Iraq for a combat mission. After his long and hard trip, he returns home and gets married to his then- girlfriend. He now lives a happy life with his wife.

G. I think it is possible to tell a complete story with just photos because you can really caption the emotion through each photo and is almost like a movie.
H. If you can create a story in photos and captions you should also write the story because there are some important parts of the story that you can't get just from looking at the photos.
