Great Black and White Photographers part 3



1. When looking at my photographer, William Klein, I liked how he took abnormal photos and made the people look very interesting. I chose his photos because all his photos, although black and white, have so much life in them.


a) I see my reflection in the newsstand with the baby. I can see my warm clothes and pinned up hair.
b) I smell the rust of the news stand. I smell the gas of the cars as they come down the street.
c) I can hear the cars roaring down the street.I can hear the faint clicking of woman's heels as they walk down the pavement.
d) I am able to taste the cold air. The faint taste of gasoline fills my nose.
e) I feel my makeup running as I lean in to check it in the newsstand. I can feel the cold touch of winter on my skin.
a) I can see my cigarette with flowers wrapped around it. I see the bright lights of the camera staring at me.
b) I smell the smoke from my cigarette. The smell of flowers fills my nose with its sweet scent.
c) I hear Klein as he tells me to look at my hand. I hear the people on the streets pass the building.
d) I taste the smoke as I take a small inhale. I taste the sweet lipstick I had put on.
e) I feel the soft touch of the flowers in my hair. I can feel my white glows as I hold my flowered- covered- cigarette.


3. I would like to create a Power point to show "the world" my great photographer, William Klein.

1. Avoid mergers 2. The subject of my photo is the two boys in the back writing and the boy scratching his head. the merger is the blonde boy in the bottom of the photo. 3.I think it is fairly clear that the 3 boys are the main subject with the blond boy as the merger. 4. Academic shoot reflection and critique

1. Some of the challenges I faced while trying to follow the rules during the shoot was, that it was hard to find all of the rules. I thought it would be easy but it was actually kind of hard to find some of them. Not only that but as a photographer, i personally like more of a clear background but you can't do that with academic shoots since their are people everywhere! Lastly, their was not the best lighting since it was in a classroom. 2. I thought the most about the rules since that was what we were out there to do. I also focused on flipping the camera horizontal for some photos that I needed a closer and more full- body picture for. 3. If I could do the shoot again, I would try to get closer to some of the "subjects" to make sure it focuses only on the things I wanted in the photo. 4. I would keep my balance photo, my lines photo, and the simplicity picture. These are my favorite photos since I feel that they are good examples of the rule. 5. I think that the ne...

                                                                The Camera                 1. The "camera obscura" effect is an optical effect which inside a completely dark room, a small hole is made. Through the hole, light is focused and the optical effect is projected upside down on the opposite wall. 2. When Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding go optics which helped getting to the modern camera. 3. In 1827, Joseph Niépce added film which pretty much created the modern camera. 4. Modern Cameras still use film and has the same basics except Niépce camera took over 8 hours to expose. 5. digital cameras use electronic sensors called a CCD. to capture a photo. The photographs are stored on the reusable computer memory.           ...
