Man looks into the light of an oncoming train as he sits blindfolded.
The refugees who were kidnapped had to face horrible circumstances.

The geese look forward as they see their brand new pond.
The geese farm had been in a drought for almost a year with no pond until yesterdays large rain in which the pond filled up.

 1. Rule of thirds-  subject is at the far end of the photo. 
2. Balancing Elements- two objects balance out the photo to make it look even on both ends.
3. Leading Lines- The photo has lots of lines leading to the subject.
4. Symmetry and Patterns (repetition)- there is a similar pattern throughout the photo.
5. Viewpoint- Taking a photo from a strange angle or up above the subject.
6. Background- Having a clear background that is not chaotic is usually the best for photos (especially for simplicity)
7. Create depth- distance between the camera and the subject.
8. Framing- there is something showcasing the subject: usually like a frame.
9. Cropping- Where the subject is very close and most of their body has been cropped.
10. Mergers and avoiding them- when two subjects become merged to look like one

1.Aperature- how much light is let into the photo through the opening.
2.Shutter Speed- setting that either takes many pictures very fast or one photo at a normal speed.
3. ISO- determines how sensitive the camera is to the light.

5. In photoshop you can manipulate the image to make it a more depth color or bring the brightness up or down. You should not completely  change the image to where the subject has been transformed. ex. don't slim them down so much that they look like a whole new person.

6.Portraits

 Environmental- When the photo is taken of what the subject does. For example, a soccer player getting a photo on a soccer field.
 Casual- More candid photos that are not serious.
 Self- When the photographer takes photos of themselves and are usually more serious.
Formal- a posed photo that is more professional.

7. Exposure- The amount of light per square unit.
Depth of field-the distance between the nearest and the furthest objects
Focal length- the distance between the center of a lens or curved mirror and its focus.

8. Early- Magazine covers were just drawings and type.
Poster- The photo is the main showcase of the cover with little type.
Married to type-The cover has the photo with type that goes around the photo without covering it.
Forest of words- the photo is taken over by the type with type covering the photo.
